When should I book my maternity session?

Most clients book in their first or second trimester and plan their session date around 30-33 weeks! Booking early guarantees availability as the calendar can fill up fast. If you are 36 weeks and just now reading this, please check and see if I have availability. I do my best to fit in any last-minute maternity clients all the time. Location options may be last minute clients as well as clients 35 weeks or more.

Where do you shoot maternity sessions and what time is best?

Maternity sessions take place in one of three locations: park, field, or mountains. Studio sessions are currently not available. The time of your session is dependent on what time the sunrises and sets. We want the sun behind you as much as possible.

I'm worried about stretch marks showing, will you edit them? 

First of all, you are a BEAUTIFUL woman and you should be proud of the way your body has transformed by carrying your little. Should you choose to have your bare belly photographed, no need to worry about stretch marks! All images are minimally, retouched and if retouching takes longer than 15 minutes to do, a fee of $20 an hour will occur. We will discuss this during your session about whether you want those removed or left alone. Some scars are an important part of who you are, and you may want to keep them in your images!

What should I wear for my maternity session?

My maternity wardrobe is expanding, and clients will choose from the options available. Most of our clients borrow from the studio wardrobe! We will communicate this information three weeks in advance of your session to provide wardrobe styling assistance for your partner and/or other children.

What if it rains on my scheduled maternity session date?

Rainy day sessions taking place outdoors will be reschedule for another date! We reserve backup dates in our calendar for this reason so that we can guarantee our availability to our clients. Please note that a weekend backup date is not guaranteed, and a weeknight may be the only availability.

Sessions more than 25 miles from Anchorage will require a travel fee, depending on distance of desired location. But no worries, I always try to find the cheapest way to come because I love the way my creativity is developed when I discoverer new places!
